John has built a career by convincing other people why they should work for free. Known professionally as a Volunteer Administrator, he has served as a trainer and keynote speaker on the local and national levels and currently manages a thriving consulting business in Oakland, California. John is also co-founder of www.voluncheer.com, a national firm offering a full line of recognition products and publications designed to enhance volunteerism in the nonprofit, public, and private sectors. Kelle has worked as a consultant for the past 11 years to increase opportunities for volunteerism in non-profit, government and business organizations. Kelle has developed specialties in municipal volunteer management and disaster volunteer management, working extensively with local government organizations and Volunteer Centers to create regional and local plans that efficiently mobilize and deploy post-disaster volunteers. Sophie C. Horiuchi-Forrester
You just never know what she'll be doing next. Sophie has led volunteers and program at a variety of organizations including
the City of Sunnyvale and the Second Harvest Food Bank. For seven years at the
City of Sunnyvale, in addition to the volunteer program she handled a variety
of other projects in the City Manager's Office as a senior management analyst.
Some of those projects include the recruitment and orientation of the City Council's
advisory Boards and Commissions and a variety of human services related projects.
